The total prize money for this year’s Wimbledon will rise by 7% to a record £53.5 million. In 2024, the prize pot will be worth £50 million, more than doubling the £26.5 million offered in 2015. Carlos Alcaraz and Barbora Krejcikova won the men’s and women’s singles titles last year, earning £2.7 million apiece. This year’s winners will get £3 million, an increase of 11%. Players knocked out in the first round will receive £66,000, a 10% increase. The men’s and women’s doubles champions will receive a 4% increase to £680,000, while the mixed doubles winners will receive a 3% increase to £135,000. The All England Lawn Tennis Club also announced the complete implementation of live computerized line calling. Wimbledon’s 147-year reliance of line judges will come to an end thanks to the technology, which was partially piloted last year. More than 400 cameras have been deployed throughout the courts.
